PROGRAM SCHEDULE

These are our current Feature Programs on Inside Wire: (all times listed are Mountain Time)

Features for the week of March 27-April 2, 2023:

One Tune (Mon, Fri, Sat, Sun @ 9pm; Sat, Sun @ 12:15pm):
  • Which song will you take with you if you're stranded on a deserted island or in outer space? This week, we have a One Tune double header, with two stories from Limon Correctional Facility. Producer Joaquin Mares interviews Anthony Quintana Jr., who chooses as his One Tune Triumph’s “Fight the Good Fight.” Then, our former producer Darrius Turner interviews producer Damien Burton, who introduces us to “Dear HipHop” by Bizzle. These two One Tunes are special rebroadcast episodes as we celebrate one year of Inside Wire this month, sharing features in which Inside Wire producers are the guests.

Behind the Mic (Tues, Thurs, 9pm; Sat, Sun @ 12:30pm, after One Tune; Sat, Sun @ 9:15pm, after One Tune):
  • Profiles of people across Colorado who keep Inside Wire in your ears and on the airwaves, from full-time producers, to short-term contributors, to musicians, to support staff. Throughout March, our Inside Wire producers and staff become the guests on Behind the Mic as we celebrate one year of Colorado Prison Radio. This week at Denver Women’s Correctional Facility, our producers Cynthia Gonzalez and Tiffany McCoy sit down together. Cynthia invites Tiffany to share her story of what drives her to play a leadership role in Inside Wire

Wired Up (Wed @ 9pm; Sat, Sun @ 12:45pm, after Behind the Mic; Sat, Sun @ 9:30pm, after Behind the Mic):
  • This week on Wired Up, Inside Wire presents a Chow Time rebroadcast double-header. Chow Time features original works of narrative journalism, conceived and created by our producers across the state. These two episodes by Darrius Turner and Anthony Quintana Jr., both former producers at Limon Correctional Facility, invite us into deep reflection about hiphop’s role in crime and the criminal justice system, and, about managing mental health challenges inside prison. Listen in to Turner’s “Bars Behind Bars” and Quintana’s “Screaming in the Silence” this week on Wired Up.

Hotlines (daily at 9am, noon, 5pm):
  • An audio bulletin board: announcements and updates airing three times daily, for residents and staff of the Colorado Department of Corrections. This week’s Hotlines are hosted by producers at Buena Vista and Limon Correctional Facilities.

Up to the Minute (Fri and Sat @ 6pm):
  • A weekly, unfiltered conversation between incarcerated residents and executive leadership of the Colorado Department of Corrections. This week’s episode of Up to the Minute is hosted by producers at Limon Correctional Facility.
Inside Wire reaches every cell in Colorado's state prison facilities 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, via the Colorado Department of Corrections closed-circuit television network. Inside Wire broadcasts for listeners outside facilities from our Home page.
